Radionuclide Authorized User Training Course

The new online ASNC/SNMMI 80 Hour Authorized User Training Course is designed to provide nuclear medicine physicians with the knowledge needed to establish a culture of safety and quality in their practice. The course will fulfill the 80 hours of classroom training that the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and Agreement States require for physicians to become authorized users of radioisotopes for imaging and localization studies.

SNMMI members, access this great new course—featuring 93 modules of video and slide presentations as well as board-exam-style self-assessment quizzes, all of which are organized into five sections: (1) radiation protection and safe radioisotope handling; (2) physics and instrumentation; (3) radiochemistry and radiopharmaceuticals; (4) radiation biology; and (5) nuclear medicine mathematics and statistics.—via the ASNC website.
