Guilt and Anxiety

For those in a high-stress profession, feelings of guilt and anxiety are very common. Guilt for often being away from family or the feeling of not being able to do enough for those in your care. Anxiety over problems too big for one person to fix. Added stressors due to Covid-19 may exacerbate these feelings.
 
A recent article from Frontiers in Psychology explored COVID-19 Psychological Implications: The Role of Shame and Guilt. This article states that "shame and guilt are two distinct negative self-conscious emotions that can be triggered by the present pandemic," and if not managed "can become a serious threat for mental health."
